This beautiful candle was inspired by spruce, Scot's pine and fir trees. As the light glows through the design of fine lined needles, the candle's scent is crisp, fresh and clean. It is perfumed with pure oils of Mint, Thyme and Spruce. Snowden sourced a traditional British candle-maker to hand pour these candles. And once the wax is finished you have a striking and evocative tea light holder to last for evermore!
Snowden Flood is an interior accessories designer based in a studio/shop on the River Thames in London's Oxo Tower Wharf, and you can visit her and buy directly from the studio if you are in the area. She studied Fine Art and then did a masters in sculpture in NYC. She is inspired by many different things but is particularly keen on souvenirs and keepsakes. She frequently undertakes commissions - clients include Tate Modern, British Museum, Chatsworth House, London Transport Museum. Her work is made in the UK.
This ornate plate depicts two traditional Indian dancers with fire pots on their heads, surrounded by patterns inspired by woodblock prints and henna patterns. The design is based on the old Havelis of Rajasthan. Made from fine bone china, these products are screen printed and hand decorated in small quantities in Stoke-on-Trent, home of the famous British Potteries.
Suitcase Susie, founded by Australian Michelle Kent, is a luxury range of fine bone china tableware and home textiles with distinctive designs inspired by travel. All the products are British made – the textiles in Lincolnshire and the tableware in Staffordshire, home of the famous British ‘Potteries’. These pieces aren’t mass-produced on a factory production line but are lovingly hand-finished to a very high standard. Suitcase Susie isn’t about physical things that one collects while travelling, it’s about impressions, experiences and memories. These are not ‘souvenirs’ as such, they’re ideas and dreams and moments captured.
